The Haywood Knolls Association, Inc. is incorporated under the laws of North Carolina as a not-for-profit organization 501(c)(4). The Association’s operations are governed by a community-elected Board of seven Directors, which consists of four Officers and three Members At Large. The Board meets monthly.
Board members serve as volunteers and are not compensated for their service to the Association. The Board sets and follows an annual operating budget and contracts for grounds keeping, insurance, common area utilities, social activities, and other services as needed. It is also responsible for identifying and carrying out community improvements and maintaining the common areas of the community.
